BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 15 FEBRUARY 2025 – SEAMEO VOCTECH proudly awarded certificates to 18 participants comprising head of departments from the education and vocational sector across 11 SEAMEO member countries, upon the successful completion of its Regional Training Programme, “Fostering Transformational and Digital Leadership Skills for TVET School Leaders.”
The closing ceremony was graced by His Excellency Mr Tran Anh Vu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as the Guest of Honour. Also, in attendance were officials from the Vietnam embassy, Dr Paryono, Acting Centre Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH, along with management, officers, and participants.
The training programme is designed to address the growing need for TVET institutions to adapt to rapid technological changes and evolving industry demands consisted of a three-day online workshop from 4-6 February, followed by a six-day on-site session held at the SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre in Brunei from 10-15 February 2025. The programme aimed to equip TVET leaders with essential digital leadership and strategic skills to drive institutional transformation, foster innovation, and effectively respond to technological advancements.
At the end of the programme, participants gained critical skills to leverage technology, align institutional priorities with regional and global goals, and lead transformative change in their organisations. They became proficient in applying an assessment matrix to evaluate institutional readiness for Industry 4.0 at both national and institutional levels. The course also enhanced their digital leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and agility in responding to industry trends.
During their stay, participants also embarked on educational visits to the University Technology Brunei School of Engineering and JPMC College of Health Sciences, as well as explored prominent cultural and historical sites across the Sultanate.
